Carers Rights Day 2020 is fast approaching – Thursday 26th November. Each year, Carers Rights Day helps us ensure Carers are aware of their rights, let Carers know where to get help and support and raise awareness of the needs of Carers. The theme for this year is ‘Know Your Rights’ https://www.carersuk.org/news-and-campaigns/carers-rights-day

If you have not had your Flu vaccination this year, please call us and we will invite you in as soon as possible (Anyone 65 and over or under 65 with a chronic condition, or who is a carer or pregnant). In addition, we are able to offer a vaccination against Shingles for those aged 70 – 79, and Pneumococcal vaccine which protects against Pneumonia for those aged 65+ or those with an illness which places them at risk. These can be done at the same time as your flu injection. These are available free of charge at your GP surgery. Thank you
Thank you for working with us through the pandemic to date. We appreciate your understanding that non-urgent requests may take us a couple of days to get back to you due to the heightened demand we are experiencing.
Please may we ask that where possible, you do not come into the surgery to request appointments or prescriptions. Our telephones are answered throughout the day and there is a letter box at the front door for prescription requests if these are not ordered by your local pharmacy or online.
Blood tests are available at the Antioch Centre in Llanelli and are by appointment only. You can contact them on 0300 303 9642 to request appointments.
We are having a number of Ask My GP requests from patients registered to Brynteg Surgery in Wrexham. Please make sure you are registered with Brynteg Surgery, Ammanford before you make a request online.
If you have a medical problem that cannot wait until the surgery is open, please contact the out of hours service by calling 111.
NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do. For children under 5 call 111
If you or someone you know is suffering from sudden chest pain or another emergency, please dial 999.
